Caves Beach

Caves Beach has a network of sea caves that can be explored during low tide. I have seen a lot of beautiful photos of this place and I wanted to see it for myself. It is only about 1.5 hours drive from Sydney, east of Lake Macquarie. The caves are located on the south part of Hams Beach. There are plenty of parkings, BBQ/picnic facilities, toilets, shower, and kiosk close by. Initially I thought there is just one cave, but there are actually plenty of small caves and areas to explore. There are a few rock ponds and areas between rocks to swim in. There is a short coastal walking track south of Caves Beach to Spoon Rocks Beach, a much quieter and private beach, and Spoon Rocks Split. This is a very unique beach and is definitely worth visiting. I am planning to go back to the caves during sunset or sunrise. The views from the caves would be even more stunning.
