Wattamolla to Curracurrong Walk

Image
We started the walk from Wattamolla picnic area, along the Royal National Park coastline to Curracurrang cove, Eagle Rock, Curracurrong falls, and back. It was worth taking the time along the walk to absorb the beautiful scenery and the calmness of the surroundings. The day was sunny and dry, with heavy wind predicted for the afternoon. I was glad we didn't get hit with the heavy wind during the walk as I wasn't looking forward to end up at the bottom of the cliffs. These places are not reachable by public transport. You can access Wattamolla picnic area by car or foot. The fee for each vehicle entry is $11. The rest of the way to Curracurrong falls must be done via the walking track. This is why this walk is so much quieter and calmer, and the sceneries are not ruined by a crowd of people's heads. Wattamolla is a popular picnic area, lagoon and beach in the Royal National Park. Two small waterfalls were seen near the car park. The beach looked like a nice place

There is a picnic area with barbeque facility right next to the car park. You are suppose to pay for the car parking but the ticket machine was no where to be seen. A few turkeys surrounded us during our picnic brunch, eager to share our meal. With Christmas coming around the corner, brush turkeys walking around the barbeque stand might not be a good idea. Try telling that to the turkeys.... Next stop is Glenworth Valley for our horse ride. The weather was clear and sunny. Too bad we cannot take photos during horse riding due to safety reasons. The area where we got on our horses was very muddy, with a mixture of mud, horse urine an
