Waterfalls Around Sydney

After a week of heavy rain, I thought it would be a perfect time to visit some waterfalls. All the waterfalls and their lookouts were within a short walk from the car park. Very easy access for everyone.

National Falls

This is a waterfall near the suburb of ... Waterfall (surprise!). This is a short walk, starting from a lookout of the top fall. Then stepping down the steps to the bottom of the falls.

Kellys Falls

This is a waterfall near Helensburg. We visited from the car park nearby instead of completing the whole walk.

Macquarie Pass Falls

This waterfall is at the end of a short walking track, Cascades Rainforest Walk, in Macquarie Pass National Park. The walk goes along the creek, through rainforest and eucalptus trees, which was really relaxing and calming.

Carrington Falls

This is a waterfall in Budderoo National Park, with a cascades of waterfall down 50m into the gully.

Belmore Falls

This is a waterfall in Morton National Park, formed from Barrengarry creek. The short walking track has many lookouts such as Hindmarsh lookout, with beautiful views of Kangaroo Valley and of course, the waterfall. This is probably my favourite waterfall of the day with the waterfall broken into 2 parts.

Fitzroy Falls

This is a popular waterfall in Morton National Park. There is a car park, information centre and a cafe at the beginning of the walking track. The track was well formed and has good sign posts. We couldn't get very far with this walk because the rain flooded the track, breaking the small steel bridge. However, the main waterfall is not too far from the information centre.
The sun came out by the time we got to this walking track and it became a beautiful day, but many of the tracks were still muddy on the day due to the rain. A hint of rainbow was seen overlapping the waterfall.
