Belmore Falls
On this extremely hot 40℃ autumn day, we decided to walk off the beaten track, down to Belmore Falls, at Morton National Park. First we made a quick trip to the Hindmarsh Lookout for a view over Kangaroo Valley. Then we walked along Belmore Falls Lookout Track to this point, where we needed to jump the fence to continue. The track itself was narrow but very clear and well defined as it was an old official walking track. The track is closed now, probably due to safety risks and rock falls in the area. There were two signs to prevent you from going down this track, so you will need to proceed at your own risk. There were some fallen trees on the track which we needed to climb over or crawl under. Some parts of the track were a bit muddy. It took us about 20 minutes to get to the waterfall. It hadn't rained for a while so the waterfall did not look as impressive as last time we were there.
